Before replacing your patio door screen you should make a check list to make sure you will have everything you need. When looking carefully at screen you might notice that it may just need repairing it. First check the screening if it looks clear and you see no holes, rips or tears, then you now the screen part is ok. If mesh is old and you see it is turning gray then you will need to replace it.
If you are going to do your own installation you are going to need some basic tools, a screw driver for roller adjustment and tucking in the spline that holds the screen. Also need is a spline roller, This rolls the screen into the frame. When the screen doors finished and ready for install , make sure the rollers are adjusted and retracted into the frame. This allows more space in between the top channel and bottom track for easy installing.
